Edit a question or regenerate an answer

How to edit a question you've already sent, regenerate an answer you didn't like, or stop one that's still being written.

Written by Jona Smulders Cohen

If a question came out wrong or an answer didn't land, you can fix it without starting a new conversation. There are three actions to know.

Edit a question and resend

Use this when you want to change what you asked.

  1. Hover the message you sent.

  2. Click the pencil icon.

  3. Edit the text in the inline editor and submit.

Aracor removes the original question and every answer that came after it from the conversation, then sends the edited question fresh. Earlier messages are untouched.

Regenerate an answer

Use this when the question was fine but the answer wasn't.

  1. Hover the answer.

  2. Click the refresh icon.

Aracor deletes that answer and writes a new one for the same question. Your question stays in place. Earlier answers in the conversation are untouched.

Stop while it's being written

If an answer is streaming and you've seen enough, click the square button at the right side of the message input. Streaming stops immediately. The partial answer stays in the conversation; you can ask a follow-up or regenerate to start over.
