If Aracor says it cannot see a document you uploaded, the document is usually still being processed, or it finished processing after your conversation started. Open the Documents page and check the document's status before anything else.
Check the processing status
Every document moves through a processing pipeline, and the Documents page shows the current stage next to each one:
Syncing: the document is being uploaded or synced from cloud storage
Processing: Aracor is extracting text, running OCR, and generating a searchable PDF
Indexing: Aracor is generating embeddings and building the search index
Organizing: Aracor is classifying the document and sorting it into folders
Versioning: Aracor is analyzing document versions and relationships
Ready: processing is complete
You do not need to wait for Ready to start asking questions. A document becomes available to Aracor Partner as soon as it reaches Indexing. At Syncing or Processing, the text has not been extracted yet, so Aracor genuinely cannot read it.
If you added documents after starting a conversation
If Aracor does not pick up a document you added while a conversation was already open, start a new conversation. The new conversation will see everything that is available at that point.
If the status is Error
An Error status means processing failed. The document is still viewable and downloadable, but Aracor cannot answer questions about it. Open the action menu on the document's row and choose Retry.
If the status is Ineligible
An Ineligible status means the document cannot be processed at all. There are three common causes:
The format is not supported
The document is password-protected or encrypted
The file is corrupted
Password protection is the most common cause. Aracor cannot decrypt a protected document, so remove the protection and upload the document again. Ineligible documents are excluded from the available-document counts you see in Aracor.
If Aracor sees some documents but not others
Check each document individually rather than the folder. A folder can finish syncing while individual documents inside it are still processing, failed, or ineligible. On the Documents page you can filter by status to see which ones did not make it through.
